Family Pictures

These are the pictures that we took in April of 2008. If people would stop procreating we could maybe have a current one for longer than 6 months... just kidding. The babies are the cutest, but now we need a new picture so nobody misses out on baby Sennah's cuteness.

I get it!

Hey Powells I figured out how to post. Thanks Kacie for starting this its really fun, or it will be once everyone is sharing. So I was thinking the only people who posted their memories are the girls and I would love to here from our bros and our spouses. They should all have memories of Huntington also. And what about our parents? I want to here their mems. Come on people we would all like to read about some of these things and laugh or cry.

Carlos and I getting our picture taken by Truxton. We just got our white Christmas Tree put up and I decided to like it. It looked really nice. Carlos and the kids did the decorating this year. I loved that!

Truxton in his 4th grade Christmas program. His class sang a song called 'Santa you're to Fat' He was worried that Santa might get his feelings hurt. He is very thoughtful.

Lilly very much enjoyed her first Christmas program. She is in kindergarten this year and loved singing with her class. Plus they got to wear santa hats. She was wearing a pretty white bow but covered it with her hat. She still looked cute.

Hey is this thing working?

My memories

I remember a lot of the same things that you guys remember. That was fun to read! Here are some others that I remember.

1. Playing pioneers in the fields. I remember we'd ride in our awesome multi colored wagon and then give each person a single cracker to rashion for the entire "journey".
2. Sliding down the stairs on sleeping bags and our butts.
3. Playing hide and go seek in the dark down stairs.
4. Mom teaching me how to do a back hand spring on the mats.
5. Kris and I using the little trampoline to do flips onto the mats.
6. Giving people "roller coaster rides" on the tire swings.
7. Trying to throw apples and any other kind of fruit into the "pond" in our backyard.
8. Playing catch with Kris & letting him throw his fast ball to me. I pretended that I wasn't about to poop myself.
9. Having to always turn the lights on for Katie and Karen in the storage room because I was the brave one.
10. Terrible & Terrific Teri
11. Fresh tomatoes out of the garden.
12. Picking up our frozen cat Rice because it died from sleeping out in the cold all night, (That was so sad.) and sneaking Bob the cat into the house a lot after that. We also dressed him up in a little cowboy hat and took pictures of him.
13. Playing Boola Boola for family home evening and eating pudding for dessert.
14. Head stand contests & wrestling w/ dad.
15. Sledding down the hill and watching Jake Johnson show off by sledding down the hill shirtless. He ended up crying instead of looking cool.
16. Making huge lakes for the ninja turtles.
17. Driving the lawn mower off the hill.
18. Trying to "cement" the steps up the hill to our house with mud.
19. Watching fire works from the roof of our house one year. We also moved the tramp over so we could jump from the roof to the tramp.
20. Leann Halliday breaking our tramp.
21. Climbing up the walls in the hallway.
22. Being scared of the gorilla (dad's guitar) in our closet.
23. Katie waking up in the middle of the night and screaming weird things about chickens, and also the time when she got stuck between the wall and mattress.
24. Going on walks with mom to the canal or turn.
25. Feeding the calves bottles down by the Rowley's house.
26. Kevin and my lemonade stand (I was like 12! How embarassing.) Marissa Avery came and started to sell lemonade too, but for only 10 cents or something out of a gas can. We were so ticked!

That's fun to remember all this stuff.

Posting

Hey guys, for those of you who don't know how, posting is super easy. At the top of the blog (above what you are reading now) there is a bar with a button that says, "New Post". Just click it and it will take you to a window with a place for a title and then a big space for you to type your post. When you are finished just click "publish post" and it will be entered on our blog. If you want to get fancy, check out some of the buttons above your post entry, where you can enter photos, links, movies, etc.

Hope that helps. Luv u most! Hope to hear from you soon.
